And you have to question the sanity of someone who was apparently torn between a Porsche Cayman and a DERV SLK, and decided to get the Merc...
Has he gone for that £249/month lease deal that was floating around recently for Diseasel SLKs? I'd expect plenty of 19 year olds can afford that.Negus said:
I just wondered, even the richest like to get the best value for money on things.
Post of the year! I genuinely hope the OP is trolling in the holidays, as I fear for his future social and professional life if he seriously needs our help with deciding an insurance excess amount...
Pay 500 quid a year more to save 2.5k when you inevitably bin it? No brainer
all i'm wondering is that if the excess is 2.5k...how much is the policy costing!!!!
I'm 20, and even if could afford a new slk i'd never buy one.
however, i would never consider buying a car like that, people would just think you're a spoilt brat. i'd much rather buy an older...more powerful bmw ect, for a fraction of the price.... oh yeh thats what i am planning on doing (car and insurance for much less than the price of his lower excess).
its beyond me why someone spend that much money on their first car (even if daddy is a millionaire).
first cars are for ragging and crashing.

Even the richest, guys. THE RICHEST!! He's rich. The richest infact. So rich he can afford an SLK. Now nothing says Rich to me like a Mercedes SLK. 12 plate no less. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
