3 pallets of hardwood flooring (2 forklifted in and the other split up & crammed in every available bit of space) in a rented swb standard low roof transit van with near limit cheap tyres - suspension was on the floor, I was a passenger & braking was interesting to say the least!

Massive JAP stationary engine with a big cast iron water pump on the side plus toolboxes and a mate in the back of a K10 Micra. Had to be loaded in with a forklift. The guy nearly had a heart attack after asking 'where's your van then?'

My first car was a 'bubble' shape Micra, rear seats went down and the high roof meant you could fit tons of stuff in - 3 x mountain bikes without taking wheels off/lowering saddles etc, doors, sheets of mdf - all being dragged along with 998cc of motor!

ignoring the above (assumes now ex-girlfriend)

Polo MKII - complete carlton estate interior (all the door cards, leather seats, dash, carpets, centre console)

Carlton 1.8 Li - 8 internal doors - boot shut too

Polo MKIV - complete Polo 1.4 8V engine in the boot

Oh and I collected this and got it home too in the same car just wheels off

BMW 740 - complete 3.0 12V Senator engine in and with the boot shut

Senator 24V - complete 3.0 12v engine and getrag 265 gearbox (another rreason it was a better car than the 740)

Polo GTi - 39 cases of Cider

Over the years we've had....

This in a friend's people carrier moving me into my house for the year at uni (that lot went right the way to the back of the front seats):

moving house (6ft double bed divan):

contents of the shed when moving house - about half a ton of toolboxes, paint tins and other shed cupboard crap piled from back door to dog guard in the landy (and the leaf springs were only just flexing!), then a ton or so of the larger shed and garden crap and firewood in the trailer:

Also, not pictured:
- 6 people (including me) and 6 full size toboggans in my 88" land rover - 3 in the front, 3 and 6 sleds in the back
- large teen/small adult size sports quad in the back of a Freelander with the seats down

Unfortunately, mum *couldnt* fit my pram in the back of her beloved 1990 mini 1.3i John Cooper Edition when I was born, so had to trade it for a MkII Polo frown

I got an engine crane in the back of the 206 last week, the drivers seat wouldnt go back to where it was so it was sliding towards the pedals when I was braking plus I was too close to them. Not good, luckily it was only a 3 or 4 mile trip.
