Honestly?

The Alfa.

Just man-up, princess. You'll have to fix it if it breaks. Like your leg. It's what I'd do, and to hell with the warranty man.

Yer true.

I wouldn't be such a " man " if I am driving my sisters Ford KA drop top around whilst my Alfa is being repaired.

You totally would. Wear a mexican fighting mask to both enhance your masculinity and conceal your identity. Perfect. biggrin

I had the 2.2 in a 2007 Spider. It was remarkably smooth for a 4-cylinder, and remarkably awful on fuel.

Like, worse than a 3.2 Boxster S. Like, 26mpg on a steady run.

Killer, for me.

But overall ...

What were experiences with it? Was it reliable?

How many miles did you do per year?

Thanks pal.

I only had it for 6 months from brand new, did about 6k miles. For a 4 cylinder it was fine to use, pleasant enough, but drank like a small V8.

No reliability issues. Would I spend my own money on one? Over a BMW I6? Not a chance.

A straight 6 BMW will be cheaper to run and MILES nicer to use. If you really need an Alfa, then it'll do fine, but you're only a couple of mpg from that lovely V6, which if I had my time again, is what I'd choose.
