B***ard Vandals
Discussion
Whats the value of the car? I'd hazard a guess that theres quite a few £k's damage there.
Had a stone ornanament thrown through the back window of a car my boss had lent me. In a cul-de-sac with 20 other cars.
Scrotes like this ought to pay for this in full and not over 30 years..
Chap I know had a very expensive car damaged outside his house by a drunken man. The drunk however did not realise that it was in a warden area with a security guard.. He got a bit of a slapping and then the police turned up.
Car repaired but not the end of the story... Owner (who is very wealthy) has offered him to pay for the damage in full of be taken to court. He said even if it costs more than the repair and even if it bankrupts the drunk, it will teach him a lesson. Sad though how the justice system fails to recognise who is the victim.

Terrible.
Parked in front of anyone's house? I had the audacity to park in a wide residential street, posh part of town with no parking issues, whilst I had a van on hire for work. Returned to find the car egged and paintwork damaged, asking around was told "That's the house opposite, he does that, hates people blocking his view".
Nothing like the damage you've suffered, but indicative of a society where you can't even raise your voice at someone without the Police being called.

jesus!!!! I know the feeling I had my brabus done a couple of years a go. not as bad as that but they ran a standley knife down the full length of the car - drivers side. My car was parked on the street in a town i dont normally frequent. i was gutted. I had to have the whole re painted.
Can you get a video of it this morning so we can see the damage in the light?

That was targetted.
Have you parked in a spot a few times near home that you don't normally do?
Trust me some people are wierd. Would wind themselves up.
Have a dispute over work done by a tradesman?
Think back over the past few weeks.

This
Been there, done that and got the little git with a criminal record. Long story, wont bore anyone. A key'ing is a slice down the side, hidden from view, in an effort to avoid detection. That took minutes worth of effort and a concerted planned execution of the damage.
Seriously think long and hard (even the smallest thing - as mentioned, people are flipping crazy) about this. The questioning from the Police should help guide you too.
If as I suspect there is no damage to your roof, and you don't owe the local drug dealer fifty quid. That was a small child that did the damage. Look again at the pattern of damage, its very low on the car and even the bonnet damage isnt very high. An adult would have swirled all over the bonnet but a kid wouldn't be able to reach . I would recommend sussing out the young kids in your St, don't forget Easter holidays have just started.
God I hate stories like this- even more so if it turns out to be a completely random attack. At least if you did annoy someone then the event can be 'explained' (though vandalism can never justified of course). If you really did nothing to offend anyone then it's terribly sad. I guess we have to remember that such events are extremely rare.
You have my sympathies OP.

I have been thinking all day but can't think of any reason at all for this to happen.
I park all my cars on the drive (plenty of space), the only times I have parked on the road is when I have either been rearranging the parking order of the cars on the drive or when I have been clearing/sweeping the drive. Even then I have parked outside my own house, we live on a corner so can park plenty of cars on the road without parking infront of someone elses house.
I haven't pissed anyone off or had any arguments with anyone, I keep to myself really!
The reason I think it is kids is because... (was to tired to explain yesterday)
My OH phoned yesterday while I was out to say that the neighbours kids had come and knocked on the door and told her that someone had 'put a stone on the car', my OH then sent me a photo of the damage on the bonnet (the only apparent damage at the time) including a half brick still in place on the bonnet. At my request she left the brick on the bonnet and didn't touch anything, just closed the gate. My OH then had to go out about an hour before I got home, when I got home the gate was still shut but the brick was nowhere to be found and there was the damage round the rest of the car as well.
So I don't think it was the neighbours kids as I doubt they would let us know if it was them that did the damage, but I think they would be eager 'to tell on' someone if they had seen who had done it. (if you see what I mean)
Anyway, the neighbours have been out today so I haven't been able to ask them/their kids if they saw who did it etc.

This sums it up, I would love to catch them! Thats if someone vandalised my car.I feel for you pal, and its not fair that you will have to blow your no claims bonus becasue of some
scumbag(s)! Most vandalism is jealously, however in this case no offense but its a focus diesel not exactly a "look at me" car if you get what I mean, however this is'nt the point, the point is the scum that did this deserve to be shot! Bit extreme but thats how I feel, cowards they are and it if you said you have no enemies, pissed people off makes it even more annoying!
Hope you get it sorted pal and find the scum that did it!

DON'T do this. You'll get more than your car keyed if you get caught sussing out kids...
That's a hideous piece of damage though & you have my sympathy. My car got keyed at 6 months old & it still pisses me off to this day.
Hope you get it sorted either way.
