Simple solution here:

Instead of trying to overtake them on the inner lane of the roundabout, just follow them in their lane on to the entry and when they veer across towards the crown of the roundabout, point, shoot and squirt down their nearside. Sorted.

Good driving hints for a better tomorrow.
I think thats the opposite of what the OP is getting at.

No, but i've had a few lately that seem to think using the left hand lane to turn right at the roundabout is a good idea....

It's a big problem up here in Carlisle since they opened the new northern "development route" which features a large number of roundabouts with 2 lanes around them despite it being a single carriageway route. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who seem to think that when making a right turn at these roundabouts they ought to be in the left hand lane all the way round, and then they get cross with me when I go in the right hand lane like you're supposed to!

Ah, a BMW, biggrin
Trust me, it doesn't have the build quality of a BMW and it has an engine designed by Peugeot.

It used to happen almost daily. There was a roundabout where I used to live which the rover/micra (dependant upon the sex of the driver) drivers would straighten up even if I was sat alongside them.

There are a lot of roundabouts close to where I live that have no road markings and are pretty much a free for all when it comes to lane discipline.
Being used to them, I tend to hang back a little and just watch the carnage as lights flash, horns sound and fists get waved. There seems to be a collision reported in the local news weekly, but since the speeds are below 30 mph there is little point in putting in a "safety camera", and local residents have been raising the issue for years but nothing seems to be done. But some very nice metal sculptures have also been added to the roundabouts and roadsides, so that's OK.

(Reginald Mitchell Way for those in the know - lots of markings on the approach, and a rather cool concrete tribute to RJM on the grass bank!)

Cumbria, roundabouts are regarded witchcraft. And treated accordingly, which is great to watch and scary to be involved!

Don't put yourself in that situation. Too many near misses have meant I generally avoid being directly next to other cars on small -> medium sized roundabouts unless in stop start traffic.

BMW jokes aside, we have a lovely roundabout down here in sunny Devon where you are positively encouraged to use the left lane to turn right. It confuses the hard of sign reading a lot.
