Wow.

How much does that cost to run?

How much more than the Ventra?

Lol
The vectra is 17p per mile including everything.

The Noble is over 40p per mile just in fuel. not really had it long enough to add insurance, tax, tyres, servicing and maintanence yet

2 tyres at £445? Really? Does that not seem a little pricey?!

What do you expect with an S3 at 18?

You should get a less powerful, more appealing to the insurance companies car and get your insurance down as much as you can.

Hit 21, BOOM!!! Paying 30% of the insurance your paying now!

Not complaining at all, it's my choice but in prospective it's a darn site more over a considerably shorter span.

Less powerful and more appealing to insurance companies ? Why would I do that hehe

Try running an Evo as daily driver;

59p a mile.

(TBH not too bad given the performance available).

Your biggest cost on car ownership will be depreciation. Manage this and you can run some pretty potent cars. My £47K for 6-7 years is still a damn sight less than total cost paid over that period by my colleagues, chopping in Merc estates every 2-3 years.

To put in perspective, my Audi S4 (4.2 V8) has cost me 56p per mile over 25k miles in 3yrs. That's absolutely everything (fuel, insurance, MOTs etc). It's averaged 18.43mpg in that time.

I am not so sure you would! If the owner got it new and has done sensible miles I would guess they have appreciated somewhat! It might just be a depressing sum that will make us wish we had the capital to buy one!

Indeed - ignoring the fact that they're still going up in value (even if not bought from new), then the annual mileage done will probably mean it's not eye watering costs. Large, yes, but not eye watering like a Veyron's new wheels for example every 20k miles.

edit; actually, thinking about it, that would make the pence per mile quite high, of course!

When I first passed my test the fuel prices were £0.89 for about 6 months.
Then I remember it sticking at about £1.18 ish

Then now its around £1.41.

And I did less miles in my first 2 years.

So less miles and not such expensive fuel is the difference.

smile
Ah I remember, though that might be it.

That was the perfece time to panic buy

Next pricewar, I shall stock up many jerrycans!

For those calculations I just worked on how many miles I've covered by the current mpg but, for the last 3 months, I've been using £35 a week and, even more recently, have been car sharing to work a couple of days a week.

I didn't put depreciation down either because I can't see me losing money on it despite it being a fuel thirsty V8.
