Every single one, bar none. There lame and tacky.

Anyone with one must have a tiny cock.
I have one on my TVR, I struggle to find it........ :-)

But V12 Fer is not bad, but I can't see anyone paying more than 50k for it....

Good god they are crap. Who the hell would even consider these plates for anything more than a few hundred quid, and i talk about the v12fer there too.

Its just not special enough to warrent maybe more than a couple of grand imo.I think if it went for 2k in 99 i think they got lucky.

It proves as well that it depends on the day and the buyers.

I saw a plate i would have loved i can't remember exact figures without checking but i'll do my best. The plate was 1980 J .

I thought the plate looked special and its also my dob and initial . Sadly i didn't have the money but it went for just over 2k. Looking at past dvla auctions similar plates but not as good (i.e with 1980 and then 2 letters) went for more several years earlier.

Iirc regtransfers have it up for 6k frown

gutted about that, really liked the look of it.

Well it does say make an offer. I guess they wont take less than around 4k as i'm sure the plate was £2600 plus fess and vat etc.

Mind you i'm sure it will still be there in 5 years time so i've got time to save up hehe

Don't ask, don't get. It's sitting there as an asset not making them money, it might be worth their while just getting rid (or as is likely to be the case, they have the name of the person selling it rather than title - but still, that doesn't mean they won't take a hit to get rid now)

What have you got to lose?

well each to their own. I quite like 'em and I've got 5; they're quite good ones and possibly worth a bit. I must therefore have a concave cock? Odd logic!

I like them too. I like yours as well. Hell I like you, and I don't even know you.

Can I borrow 1,2 or 3 POW for the weekend?

Its true value (if its value can be described as being 'true') is simply what the highest bidder is willing to pay for it at any point in time. Trying to apply a broad inflation measure (or however you got to your £5k figure) on something that is a) unique b) highly subjective in terms of appeal and c) serves no practical function beyond that which any number plate does is, IMHO, unlikely to be significantly more accurate in predicting the price it would fetch today than, say, adding up this week's lottery numbers and multiplying by 100...
So what's your valuation?
I'll tell you after the lottery draw wink

Good numbers speak for themselves; when you see an ad for a number with an 'explanation' in brackets afterwards, you know it truly is cr@p.
