They are directional though, in that they are designed to rotate in a given direction. There'll be an arrow on the "outside" of each tyre to indicate the direction they rotate in.
There's no arrow, if they are fitted on the N/S they rotate in the opposite direction than if they were fitted on the O/S. But both ways is fine.
Fair enough, I stand corrected.

P6000 for instance are not directional and can be fitted whichever way round.

TBH they shouldn't be fitted to anything but thrown straight into a landfill.

Ah, haven't seen these before.

Let us know how they are after you fit them and stick a few miles on them?
Stuck about 1000 miles or so on a set and they are very good. Way better than T1Rs, wet performance is much better also.

High praise indeed then given how squidgy the T1Rs are supposed to feel on an EVO!

I didnt buy the T1Rs for the evo, came on a set of wheels, but they actually gripped fairly well but were not amazing. T1 Sports are way way better.

I meant all the people who were wrong.

Anyone who thinks it isn't obvious who should be on the list should be on the list.

Well this sounds good news. Even better considering the T1sports were slightly cheaper. smile

They can still be bought for between £38 and £46, offer depending.

Indeed they are.

Also known as 'composite' tyres.
They aren't directional, they can go on either side.
My quote was referring to tyres that have a directional pattern, but still have a specific orientation on the wheel rim as per an asymmetric design, not necessarily the Vredestein tyres.

They're not very popular as they are, understandably, a ballache in terms of stock and supply.

Can anyone explain why there is a difference between the inside and outside sidewall construction ?

Is it just saving cost ?

It's to do with tread pattern, bolder shoulder on the outside for better cornering (for example) with slotted inside for better water ejection (for example). Strength of sidewalls probably the same.

As far as I know, the sidewalls aren't different if the tyres are marked inside/outside, it's to ensure that the tread pattern meant to be inside is indeed on the inside, and the same with the tread pattern that is supposed to be on the outside.
I have Vredestein Quadtrack 3's on my daily driver. They are all season tyres, and are marked inside/outside as they have the summer tread pattern outside, and the winter tread pattern on the outside. Not sure how much difference it makes if they've been fitted the wrong way round, I'd suspect not much unless you're hooning it.
They are however not directional.

Some modern UHP tyres do have different side-wall construction outside to inside.
