and back on-topic, here's some hopeless pretense that I haven't been solely obsessing about V8 FD's:

Hmmmm... GT86 with LS3 conversion?

haha! I like your thinking (although I think just whacking on a nice supercharger would work well)

To find them I've searched daily on PH / Ebay / MRC / FDUK / Google

This was mentioned on MRC but I actually saw the ad on a Supra forum

I like NSXs but the price has shot up over the last few years and the relatively low power combined with the cheap interior - just doesn't justify the price.

It's not a car for everyone out there, just like a Caterham 7 isn't for everyone out there either. When on earth will people start to realize that.

I wanted a "supercar" I could use everyday - that is pretty much the NSX forte, at £15k they make sense at £45k+ IMO they don't.

I have a fetish for white cars with black wheels and these two are perfection in my eyes.

Yes, I know it says BRYAN WILLY at the bottom of the Porsche photo.

Depends on the model, you could buy a pre facelift auto for around the 15k mark. The Facelift cars are super super rare, only 85 were sold in the UK, i would guess at least 35 have now left our shores and the fact owners do not want to sell them, that is probably the reason why they ask big money. Facelift models dipped to around 30k a few years ago but have crept up in value since and i think they will hold out at around 40 - 50k.

If you are talking about the facelift car for around 15k then no chance, it is too over engineered to ever be 15k, i find it so hard to understand why people do not get the NSX, it really did change the game of Supercars in terms of engineering, handling and build quality, problem is people just look at the badge and that is that, oh it's a Honda, not for me.

If i came into some money or won the lotto, first car i would buy without question, probably buy 2, Type S and a Black Type R from Japan.

The 2nd paragraph is not aimed personally at you by the way wink

I find it really hard to understand why people DO like the NSX!

Imo, it's ugly, too slow, doesn't sound nice and has an awful interior.

I know you are not a fan, i dont think the NSX is about outright speed, the NSX was designed to be more about balance and handling, the Skyline is for outright speed and tuning potential.

Ugly, it does have a "different" look about it granted, the over hang at the back is probably the part which people dis like the most.

Interior, not the most aesthetically pleasing but it was designed to be simple and effective, nothing added which is not needed unlike Porsche nowadays who seem to have created a button for almost everything.

Vicki Butler-Henderson is spot on about the NSX " it is the greatest car you have never lusted after "

At the end of the day, we are all different, i for one am not an Aston fan in the slightest whereas you absolutely love them. Nothing wrong in that wink

Then I would describe you as a car enthusiast. Not a driving enthusiast. I'm the later. And I yearn for an NSX as much as pretty much anything else!

(my 2 cents!)

It's definitely the overhang at the back that makes them look ugly to me. That and the big red light across the middle of the back yuck I don't like the Skyline either so it's not just that it's slow.

Anyway... I'm really wanting one of these today. Would be great fun in Spain.
