Then I would describe you as a car enthusiast. Not a driving enthusiast. I'm the later. And I yearn for an NSX as much as pretty much anything else!
(my 2 cents!)
So you think because I dislike the NSX I don't like driving? Nice conclusion (my 2 cents!)
Actually I like nothing more than blasting down country lanes late at night, with the roof down in the DB9. There are just cars I like (British and German sports cars/GTs), and cars I don't (Japanese and American cars).

You would certainly get a sun tan whilst using that 499cc
How are the Bike plans going anyway ?
70bhp in that would be great fun! How are the Bike plans going anyway ?
Passed both parts of my test. Booked my first track day at Oulton in a couple of weeks. Was going to leave it until next year when I can get a bit more experience but I was pressured into it by my friends who were attending the track day anyway! Nervous to say the least!

Thanks Just going to rent a CBR600RR off one the track day organiser. I'm quite tempted by one of those anyway so for £240 I'll try one out. It's going to be either a CBR600RR or a ZX6R, probably get one around christmas time George H said:

Not for a while. I was only dreaming with those, maybe in a year or two. I want a KTM Duke 690 for the road for now. Taking one out on a test ride next week. That said... if a 996 came along at the right price, I'd certainly be tempted!http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2012...
Would love one of these, love the colour combination, don't like the numberplate.

Perhaps a stupid question, but how much do old GT-Rs go for?
Seems around 50-60k by what I can gather. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C278307

It's a 'KGC10' GT or GT-X that's been modified to look - superficially - like a 'KPGC10' GT-R. It's not the same thing at all, and the ad was just a chancer linking to a car that was being sold by a well-known specialist dealer in Japan.
A genuine KPGC10 would range between 5 million JPY and 10 million JPY at the moment, with the very best examples changing hands privately for around the 12 million JPY mark and up.

So is that between £45-90K then, depending on condition?
Average price for a decent, correct, genuine KPGC10 in Japan at the moment around 75k to 80k GBP at today's exchange rates. The better ones north of 90k GBP easily. I know of several that have changed hands privately in the last year or so for more than 100k GBP. It's all about condition, and bone stock 100% correct always trumps modified.GT-R 'lookalikes' based on modified GTs and GT-Xs with single cam L-series engines are very much a case-by-case thing. You can pick one up for around 15k GBP, or anything up to 40/50k GBP for a really really nice one. Quite a minefield.
It might be helpful to think of these cars in terms of MkI Cortinas: Real premium is with correct, genuine ( ha! ) Lotus Cortinas. Modified GT may well look similar from across the road, but it's not the same thing at all: KPGC10 is like a proper LC, while KGC10 is like a Cortina GT or a modified poverty-spec two door....

It's definitely the overhang at the back that makes them look ugly to me. That and the big red light across the middle of the back I don't like the Skyline either so it's not just that it's slow.
Anyway... I'm really wanting one of these today. Would be great fun in Spain.
