Been thinking about a corvette for a while and as I had some downtime on a business trip went to see this one today, perfect spec '57 C1 ... Exactly what I wanted. Was a bit tricky to drive what with being my first classic car experience and not being used to US roads. Wonder how well it would be suited to driving around England's country lanes... Hmmmmm, let the obsessing continue...

That is a gorgeous car. It's hard to imagine a car that would be more cool to turn up to an event in.Edited by sealtt on Thursday 10th March 21:28

Nice 'vette ^^. Rare to see such an early one in the UK. Best of both worlds there; after it lost the weird tail light fins but the last year before the quad headlights came in. Is it a Blue Flame six or a "proper" V8?
Yes, very rare in the UK - I'm actually in California for a few days which is why I took the chance to take a look. Styling wise it's the perfect combination in my opinion. Iconic American classic, but still elegant. It's the 4.6l V8 with a 3 speed manual - the 283cui/283bhp model.forzaminardi said:

Just had 500C Twinair as a loaner for a couple of days. A lot more fun than expected, mostly down to the lovely engine. And at some point in time over the last couple of years they must have worked on the suspension again. Not mini like but really well sorted now.
And there's a new 500S coming out soon... See if that can tempt Lady K. out of her Smart.
