New ones are not available from the looks of things so I may take it off (or find a reasonable used one) and copy it using Stainless Steel. I know of at least three people that want one and I enjoy TIG welding so win-win eh? wink
Not a bad little job really, I'm all too aware of lack of parts sadly, I can't seem to get coil springs for love nor money, or a rear anti-roll bar for my 200 Coupe, though I can get hold of TRW shocks at least (body panels are thin on the ground as well).
That's something about the 600 I can use Honda Accord panels for the rear arch repair.

These guys are supposed to be good...

...but I haven't tried them yet.

As well as running off with the brand names "MINI", "Clubman", "Cooper", "Cooper S" and so on BMW shat on Rover by stopping part production. My 213S was an arse to get bits for ten years ago. I would hate to try now.

Thanks for the link, had a quick look and it looks like it'll be a phone call as they don't even list the Coupe as a model and they only seem to have brakes for the Cab which isn't what I'd call hopeful. Rimmer Bros., as eye-wateringly expensive as they are, do have some of the scarcer stuff in.

Ha, tell me about it. Read my posts up a few pages, I’ve basically been through everything! 428i went to 430D, that evolved into the GC for practicalities and then after the ones I wanted sold I haven’t found one that is the right spec, so I looked at 3 series, and then the GT. to be honest I don’t know if I really want it, but will find out when I go and see it on the weekend!
Still a very nice car though either way. Did you pull the trigger then?

No it was a dog. Picked up a 65 plate 335D Xdrive today though, lower miles, pretty immaculate and with bmw warranty left on it. I’m going to be obsessed with this one for a while I think!

CS SMG will always be in the shadow of the CSL. CS Manual, however, offers a credible case as the ultimate incarnation of the E46. If I were buying a BMW M car with an eye on future values, I think a CS Manual would be near the top of the list.

seen an Omega MV6 i like on Ebay. seems decent for the money MOT'd it runs and ticks all the boxes on my wierd RWD vauxhall fetish list.

only problem is i cant get time off work and its in Ruddy southampton.(i'm in Glasgow)

currently trying to figure out if i can do Glasgow to Southampton whilst still working on the train then drive home and be in work the next morning. and if the wife will notice a third black Omega appearing. (yes i've already got 2 MV6s but their a 2.6 and 3.0 this is a 3.2 i'm looking at. and whilst pretty much the same the 3.2 is a much better engine and well sod it to be honest i just want another Omega.

Shall I (almost certainly) kill my plans for a weekend 911 by going to test drive this Caterham R500?

I was sort of set on the 911. And I know if I drive the Caterham im likely to buy it there and then!

I love that.

So I went and bought the car I was obsessing about. We needed a sensible family wagon, and I considered every option from hybrid, electric and petrol (no diesel as I'm in London and pretty sure they'll all be banned soon). I considered running costs, economy, load space and all weather ability. And then bought this, which is compromised in every single one of these areas. An RS6 would have been a far better option in pretty much every way, but I still ended up here.

Clunky gearbox, dodgy visibility and 2wd so won't be much good in the next cold snap, or when driving to Europe in the winter. It self parks though, so that's OK.

Lady F literally rolled her eyes.

I love it already.
