I have always liked the look of the RCZ, didn’t know you could get a diesel though! Would have made a good daily if I’d known. How do they drive though any old pug gti dna? Are the running costs reasonable with being diesel? Off to trader I go!
They were built buy Magna Steyr who build Merc and BMW SUV's, so not 100% Peugeot and much better built for that.

Its an 308 GTi underneath, so more of a sporty cruiser than a fast coupe.

I think I need to see a trick-cyclist - my long love for a Volvo 480 has tragically morphed into a strange 440 love!

Help me!?

This week's itch is the Series 1 XJ...

Every few months I keep coming back to them, with the urge to own one getting stronger each time.

When did these start to look so good? Yet so wallet-bustingly ruinous too?

Those too, although the original shape 3.6 appeals, preferably a manual.

Jaguar XF SV8... supercharged V8 for under ten grand. It would be crazy not to, right?!

There is something very subtle and old school Jaguar about the SV8.
I prefer it to the XFR.

I'll be honest you could split the car into the front, middle and rear and not believe they came from the same car. It's awful.

Interesting view, F1GTRUeno, but I’m with Wadeski on this one. Beauty is of course in the eye of the beholder, and to my eye, the XJS was a beautifully distinctive and elegant shape when it came out and has aged well since. A lad in my sixth form turned up in his Dad’s one like this once, and we were all green with envy.

All this XJS talk has reminded me of the Lynx Eventer. Any excuse to post a photo of the Ecurie Ecosse transporter.

Big old Volvos, especially something like a 940 estate. I have a Golf GTI for day to day so I fancy something like this for when more space is needed, or I just fancy wallowing along rather than hammering it, wouldn't have to be immaculate either (in fact almost better if its not) , I also love the boxy shape and the fact that they can still be had for reasonable money.

An ex-girlfriend and I owned a 2.0 litre 480 and it had the groovy oil pressure and voltage gauges - I remembered them when I wanted to fit some gauges to my M635CSi - gut one ashtray, fit the gauges and the lid still closes for stealth originality...

I want a 480 for the pop-up lights and bonkers little hatchback styling but why-oh-why am I now looking at 440's - madness I tell you, madness, and made worse as you reminded me they made a 440 Turbo - aarrgghhh - damn you Flashman!!!!

The Peugeot RCZ

Don't want the 1.6 because they are fragile and troublesome, specially in a 1.4 ton car when they were meant for the 1150kg 208 GTi
In the main, I'd agree. If you can stretch to an R though, the Prince engine had a lot of its faults fixed. It won't run with Lexus levels of reliability but it'll be a vast improvement.

Similar state of tune engines in the 308GTi (the post 2015 shape) are holding up well. So are updated 208GTis after 2016, though granted they're in a lower state of tune.

They're a lot pricier than non-R petrol cars though... (!)
