But i live in Tenerife and it will get wrecked within months as nobody seems to know how to drive or park...
A slightly dented and battered 60's Mustang is your answer. Or 80's Merc SL.

718 Boxster GTS. I have just spent two days driving one on the twisties of Marin, California - a friend's new acquisition.

And wow. I now see what all the fuss is about. Mind absolutely blown. Been looking at Autotrader...

Since getting my Biturbo 430 sorted recently I've been thinking about Ghiblis and Shamals, a lot...!

If you go for a Ghibli Cup or Shamal, I’d like to visit, please! Particularly if it’s a Shamal. TIA! thumbup

At the moment the 'thinking about it' and 'doing something about it' parts are several miles apart but a boy can dream! I came across the red Ghibli in those photos at Gaydon back in 2014, it's the first time I'd ever really looked at one close up, my other half thought it was a Lancia of some sort at first but then she looked at the badges and the penny dropped. She liked the interior a lot, as did I.

The Ghibli is nice, the Shamal is slightly bonkers...

Well the only thing you are probably missing in Tenerife is rain!

Nobody in the UK seems to know how to drive or park either. banghead

Been obsessing over the TTS (8S) lately, but really unsure if i’d ever pull the trigger and buy one simply because I feel like i’d never learn to love the ‘FWD-Bias’ AWD. Other than my quelms about the specific AWD system in question, it seems like the perfect car for me.

two cars. 458 speciale and perhaps the other end of the spectrum in many ways, a viper GTS.

Building our dream house has put dreams of buying a speciale on hold so trying to decide if I hold out for it in the long term, go for a regular 458 in the mid term or buy the GTS in the short term..

Say what you will about american sports cars, this has been a dream car since I was around 8 years old..

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202307270...

keep looking at this and tbh it ticks all the boxes for a tip/dog wagon albeit a bit on the leggy side ticks every box with the right toys carplay/xenons and 4wd with a auto box

BUT couldnt bring myself to by from the seller given their somewhat interesting history

Not obsessing so much as pondering how this bizarre situation came about.

This humdrum saloon, re-engineered by Lotus is worth twice what the best car Lotus made at the time.

However:

This humdrum saloon car, with an actual Ferrari engine, and conceived by a company with a performance car pedigree second to none (unlike Vauxhall/Opel) is worth less than half the best car Ferrari made at the time.

  • note.
The F355 & Thema 8.32 and Lotus Carlton & Esprit V8 didn’t actually overlap.
But the F355 & Carlton are worth about the same, as are the Thema & a V8 Esprit.

That would be a brave pair of cars to own!

A friend has a V8-S. it’s fantastic.
Superb VFM at £30k as well, but doubtless they’ll fall further.

I just can’t get the sound of one out of my head!!
I love my Cayman S but the F type is an itch I really think I’m going to have to scratch (when they are a bit cheaper lol)

Reality of the naff small parking spaces at work that are about to get a whole lot worse means small cars only.

So no hot Civic/Golfs etc frown

Have to stick in the Mini class.

So looking at Cooper S or Swift 1.4t Sport

Both good, Mini the better faster overall car, but the Swift will be much more reliable, more space inside, much less likely to vandalised/stolen.
