I have had my (slightly bigger engined) one for 13 years and after some highs and very bad lows with it, I still now make sure it's in fine fettle...

They are still a lovely modern car to drive when they've been properly sorted.
Is that Toledo blue ?
Individual Steel Grey - it goes slightly violet in a rising or setting sun. I took it to a show last weekend who was convinced I owned a purple E39 Touring as he had seen another, more purple, picture of this same car.
Gotcha

Very difficult to tell in that light what colour it is

I realise it’s not going to be a very good car, but I just love these for some reason

Over the Christmas holiday I've been getting far too nostalgic about the five old Rovers I owned some years ago, a pair of P5B Coupes and three P6s, all of which were used as daily transport at different times. I keep looking at the classifieds and really fancy another, more so than the '60s and '70s Jags I've also been looking at...

There are some very nice examples of both types for sale at the moment and a little dickie bird tells me that the prototype P6B 3500S (manual) might be for sale soon...

If I ever bought another P6 it would have to be a 3500S!

But I'd want one with PAS, the box-pleat seats or leather and ideally a 5 speed gearbox.

I bought my 3500S in 1979 when I was never going to be able to afford a Jag from a similar era and couldn't afford to insure a 3 litre Capri.

Good luck with your search anyway. thumbup

A right hand drive B10 3.0 AllRad Touring was discovered a few years ago - it needs restoration iirc but it is a genuine Sytner conversion alongside the two saloons they did.

Not the most exciting car in the world, however I've put a deposit down on a 2018 Alfa Giulia for £10,500, it's an absolute minter and a bargain so that's my obsession today.

Haven't had a car for a while and now fancy getting one of these to potter about in for a while. Surprisingly, the Mrs agrees so we're off shopping at the weekend! driving

Veloce? Super? I’ve been looking at Veloces as a replacement for my 428iGC later this year.

I really want to build a portal axled G - something like this - for my next holiday

Finding one with the right engine is proving tricky though - I want the OM606 inline-6 diesel.

Bought one on a whim 2 years ago, love them. Mines a 66 plate 5 door, it’s a real hoot.

Thanks. I commute 46 miles a day, I wanted something that was going to be comfortable well equipped, good value and would give me a bit of credibility in the company car park and not cost a silly amount to buy. I went £500 over budget.

Found a lovely 2 owner car with immaculate history, which has been extremely well cared for and doesn’t look or drive like a car with 113,000 clicks!

Alfa Red 2.2 diesel Tecnica with 113,000 miles. It’s a stonker and just a fraction over budget, most of the cars at work are A4’s or 3 series, I wanted to be different and I’ve owned a lot of Alfas over the years.

I’ve got 2 other cars which are petrol so didn’t mind this one running on derve.
