Currently have 165/55 R13 wheels on my car, got some new alloys that are 195/50/15, will I need to have my speedo adjusted?

Thanks

Chris

The best idea would have been to check this sort of thing BEFORE buying new wheels/tyres.

However you can get:
  • 195/45r15 tyres which will be about 2% larger
  • 195/40r15 which will be 1.5% smaller
  • 205/40r15 which will be about 0.01% bigger
You may also want to check that the new wheels/tyres don't protrude beyond the arches/bodywork as some MOT stations will fail it, even though it's not strictly in the test. However a police/VOSA roadside stop could still result in a fine as they follow C&U regs, not MOT regs.

I got them for a bargain price on Ebay so might just sell them, seems like a lot of hassle changing perfectly good tyres.

Thanks for the help.
