I appreciate where that Mk1 Golf is going, trying to resemble a Berg Cup racer, but that front addition is awful IMO. I'm not going to call it a splitter or a spoiler, but it sure does spoil the look of the car, be it effective in practice or not. Aside from that, the rest of the car doesn't look too bad.

This.

The Yank stuff above does nothing for me.

My take on that spoiler is that if the car is used in competition and wins stuff then it's good.

Otherwise it's a snowplough.

BMW 2002 with Alpina engine on massive carbs, wide BBS split rims, race inspired interior with big cage.

Won best of show at Unphased on Sunday

I had a standard one of these in the early 80's, that colour too, but I was swindled out of it by the in-laws when I split with their daughter. Every time I see a picture of one I feel the hurt!

That was at the Unphased show a few weeks ago, looked to be done to a very high standard, but then Im no expert. Front spoiler looks daft but just used on track.

bit like the kamei one, but not a patch on the other homage here on PH.

Without the cut up wheelie bin attached to the front that looks pretty good. Thank God it's easily removable...and disposable!

It looks great when it hasn't got half of the worlds resources bolted on the front.... hehe

Modified 1976 M.G.B GT V8 by Zack S. Classic Cars, on Flickr

This is bloody cool, although I'd swap the Minilites for Slot Mags.
