Utterly pointless, it looks stupid, has ruined the ride quality and any off-road utility is long gone, meanwhile it wont actually handle well around a corner because it still is a shipping container on wheels and has a high CoG
Or he’s just set the air suspension to its lowest setting while it’s parked and it drives at normal height... And when do you see a new RR being used off road??

Even in an air ride scenario the low profile tires still are over the top to the point of ruining the car

As for new RRs never seeing mud, ill agree it is a rare occurance, which makes all those pointless SUVs even more annoying.

You could probably have a thread just purely on good and bad modified Range Rover's but how does this one rate? I'm not sure if it belongs in this thread or the badly modified one, for sure it had presence though.
Impulse did my stereo. They do get some properly poorly modified stuff through their doors!

Oi! I've fitted off road tyres to my L405 and take it to some muddy and/or remote places. It's been 15 miles from the nearest road on many an occasion.

I think that looks quite cool tbh. Something just to cruise around in to the shops. I'd drive that
cruising to the supermarket/shopping centre car park, are you a teenager?

That's what he meant....when they're off road you never see them because they're 15 miles from the nearest road.

Probably

You just know that someone, somewhere has got that in white.

An off road vehicle modified such that an overzealous speed hump will trash its side skirts... Even if it is on air I still couldn't call it a success as a modification. The treatment of the body behind the front flares are a bit of a mess but the rear ones work better. Doesn't in general float my boat though, and while it doesn't look bodged in terms of workmanship the detail and indeed the whole concept are steeped in failure IMHO.

It appears well modified, but conceptually it's a massive oxymoron. It's to me like buying a designer brolly, full of holes.

I think that would be cooler if it were based on the A5 Beetle and not the elderly one.

Must be really safe, since it can't hit anything.

With an XJR engine!

Not bothered to add pics to this post, as it just looks like, well, a Volvo 240.

That was built by a friend of mine. He sold it needing some relatively minor repairs and it ended up languishing somewhere rotting, total waste.
I built a 75 in a similar vein over Christmas, mine is on air ride and Bentley Continental wheels :
