That was built by a friend of mine. He sold it needing some relatively minor repairs and it ended up languishing somewhere rotting, total waste. I built a 75 in a similar vein over Christmas, mine is on air ride and Bentley Continental wheels :

I have to say, I agree about those awful wheels.
Disagree. I think they work really well on the Rover 75.But how is new wheels and suspension a build??
May have been spotted about - a friend is borrowing it at the moment so not sure it’s exact whereabouts. We were just over at Worthersee last week, turned a few heads amongst the VW crowd there
Call it a build or whatever label makes you feel better, the suspension is bastardised from a BMW not quite bolt-on, the air install saw it laying up on jack stands in my garage for about 6 weeks working on it at weekends and over Christmas, the wheels were agonised over for a long time before settling on these because they resemble a bigger version of some standard Rover wheels & Conti GT has some similar lines to 75, drove to Dundee to get them I enjoy the aesthetics and making a combination that’s complimentary to the form of the car whilst also not been done before.
Bentley caps are staying, it’s a bit of fun.

All in eye of the beholder and (as I am sure has been said many times) it’s your motor. You do what you like and what you think works. For me, the wheels look fantastic and I see what you mean about them resembling a bigger version of some standard Rover wheels. How much of a pain is it to get the BMW suspension on? I’ve auddenly got an urge when my M3 sells to do something relatively inexpensive but a bit silly Call it a build or whatever label makes you feel better, the suspension is bastardised from a BMW not quite bolt-on, the air install saw it laying up on jack stands in my garage for about 6 weeks working on it at weekends and over Christmas, the wheels were agonised over for a long time before settling on these because they resemble a bigger version of some standard Rover wheels & Conti GT has some similar lines to 75, drove to Dundee to get them I enjoy the aesthetics and making a combination that’s complimentary to the form of the car whilst also not been done before.

Sticking Bentley wheels on a car is not "decently modified".
They weight a ton and ruin the ride and handling.
You mean “weigh” They weight a ton and ruin the ride and handling.
Confirmed they do weigh a ton and ruin the ride, however on the air suspension and with the extra weight from the wheels being so close to the ground it now corners flat as a pancake, genuinely scary cornering speeds are now possible
Personally I think for example slapping a big engine in an otherwise plain car isn’t decently modified either, but I’m an aesthetics kind of guy. Still I’d like to do this to a V8 75 one day, there’s something about the shape of these cars I can’t stay away from, crap as they are. V8 burble would be the icing on the cake.

It's a Rover 75... is it possible to ruin the ride and handling any more than the standard car? They weight a ton and ruin the ride and handling.
