Genius. I have a genuine belief that the on/off road Buggy type conversion on any car will become more and more popular. As it becomes impossible to have fun on the road it’s a good way to have fun in a car still.

I think its already happening.
Seen a fair few Subarus lifted with knobblies on. Tom Ford has a Volvo estate done, I'm looking to build my own MX-5 one as a laugh with a mate but there are already a few of these about. Seen a few pics of various American muscle cars done like it and it seems to be the thing to photoshop at the moment, seen shops of Mclarens, Bugattis etc

Happened to see that out and about the other day, looked flipping excellent. I assume it’s the same car with a wrap anyway rather than a copycat heralding a new trend of lifted, mil-spec luxury GTs.

This will probably cost me my PH card, but are those bentleys AWD? Seems like a must for such a heavy barge to be any good off road, blasting around buggy style is all good and well, but being able to stop somewhere in the dirt and get moving again would be nice.

Yes, I think it's the same gearbox and drivetrain that you find in various higher-end Audis.

Not sure if a good conversion, or even what powered it, anyone know this can?

Different one, think that was built for/on a TV show

A Beetle converted to a folding hardtop convertible. It's a video slideshow https://youtu.be/xVdsCCNzcpY

There are pictures and a website for it though

Sometimes I get confused which thread I'm in, is this the "well executed but ultimately a terrible looking car" thread?

Citroen Type H body conversion for a Citroen Relay van https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/features/car-culture...

Probably marmite, but it makes a change from seeing a normal van and not being sure if it's a Transit or Sprinter or.. something else.

Coming soon to a hipster ice cream/burger/coffee van near you.

It's a Rover 75... is it possible to ruin the ride and handling any more than the standard car?
Standard 75 has one of the best rides of any car I know. Absolutely superb wafty comfort, the estate above I think looks great. Obviously not going to ride as smoothly as the standard car but that's clearly not the aim, it's a well-executed and smart looking machine in my opinion.

I saw one of these somewhere on the continent over the last 2 weeks ,thought it was a normal H van as it came towards

me and then got very baffled when I saw it wasn't rotten as a pear and looked new and slightly different.
