Real or render? Some of the latter are getting very realistic

Real, AFAIK its is a modded 4C, so actually should be relatively do-able, since it just takes a normal 4C as a starting point.

I love the agressive look of it, the one thing i dont like is the weird braces from the back to the top of the roof, especially with the visible seam.

Phew thanks! I was bracing myself ready for it to be called a stty chav box hehe
I have tried to keep it a bit more subtle now. I bought it with all the rally graphics on but cant do that look anymore. So wheels are back to original colour, bodywork is standard apart from the fog cover, carbon splitter and carbon reverse vent. The reverse vent being more function than form. No point keeping the normal scoop with a front mount as it just traps hot air in the bay, the reverse scoop actively draws it all out. The front splitter went on after I hit a rabbit at about 90mph and it smashed the centre out of the original. I like having it carbon as one I like splitters black and two the P1 comes standard with a carbon gurney flap on the rear wing so its nice to compliment that.

Just to keep it more subtle I have the black badge on the nose (previous owner had a pink STI one on it) front mount painted black, all the indicators are now clear rather than orange and the little vents by the fog lights are painted black rather than the standard orange.
Have you got a reader rides thread? I'd be interested in seeing it if you do...

Perhaps the ultimate sleeper?

700whp, from the inside there's nothing to give it away and from the outside it's only the bigger brakes and wheels.

If it had standard wheels it would be.

Speeding of sleepers, I very nearly got outran by a G reg Micra on a private dual carriageway the other night, fairly shoddy looking with a single bucket seat. Turned out it has a 170-180bhp N/A Nissan SR20 lump in it from a Primera GTI!

I don’t think I could’ve faced the shame if it had been quicker hehe

Citroen Type H body conversion for a Citroen Relay van https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/features/car-culture...

Probably marmite, but it makes a change from seeing a normal van and not being sure if it's a Transit or Sprinter or.. something else.

Coming soon to a hipster ice cream/burger/coffee van near you.

Surely better just to fit the running gear from the newer van into the old body?

Least it wouldn't look like a "retro inspired" design by the same person who thought the current 500 looks anything like the original 60s version!

I built a 75 in a similar vein over Christmas, mine is on air ride and Bentley Continental wheels :
Like that!

Bentley wheels don't suit much, but they do here!

EDIT TO ADD

Inevitable quick look on eBay finds a MGZT (no mot, but seems a simple fix) for £150 biggrin

I'd like to add my mate Alec's BMW 840ci Individual with E39 M5 engine & running gear and ESS Supercharger.

Lots and lots of hard work, time, effort and clever solutions to make it look a 'stock' as possible.

Stretching the thread a bit! Custom La Mans race car modified to road going!

Toyota throws its hat back in the supercar ring with 1,000-hp GR Super Sport

The GR Super Sport Concept rides on 330/710R18 tires front and rear (not legal with those slicks)

I has wondered whether the photos I'd seen were a bit complimentary...
It was built from a scrap shell and purposely hasn't been over-restored to give an 'elderly race car revived' feel to it.

Now that's what BMW should have done. Very nice!

Oh aye, I've followed the build from start to finish as i'm a big of Pipey but you know what its like with builds such as this where the work can look awesome in pics but then a bit rough up close.

His K70 is by far my favourite build though as you could quite easily daily it!
