The drift Aston is all kinds of brilliant, as for the off roading random stuff, I honestly believe it could be the future for petrol heads, take something fairly lightweight like a mk3 MR, Jack it up and go play. The one thing that would be even better is if a few tracks opened their rallycross courses up for track days, I've seen in the past Ariel Nomad owners have tried to organise days but insurance seemingly is the issue.

That's somewhat unusual. I like it.

A big yes from me. Not the obvious engine choice for a hot rod of any sort but the basis of a V8 and a huge turbo is always a winning combo

That’s in my town smile

Will have mega performance but I’m not a fan of the looks, maybe it’s unfinished. It’s odd in that they have managed to make it look at bit like a dodgy replica rather than an actual R8

Not finished but it was done for Time Attack so function over form.
Running around 1,000hp at the moment but we have a lot of tuning to do. The ultimate goal is 1,500hp

I was thinking that yesterday, when the nomad popped up on collecting cars. Just where can you use the thing as intended?

I mean, Keilder is a nice short drive from my house, as is lots of forestry land and it’s roads but presumably you’re not just allowed to rock up and start rallying on them.

I know the lad who built the MX5 off-roader that became a bit of a hit last year, as far as I’m aware he came across a similar problem.

Out of interest, why not use the R8 GT3 bodywork which is already specifically designed for aerodynamic performance?

Possibly a bit of a handful

Sultan Al Qassimi's car (or one of them). Ridiculous thing, competes at various events around the world. Absolutely stunning up close, he's a notoriously nice guy as well. Got a good look round it at Gatebil last year when he was having some mechanical issues. Very well put together car.

I thought porches are RWD and that's a front delivery system.

I think that looks absolutely fantastic, really love that.
Just a shame about the price. I've never really considered a Boxster before but if it looked like that and was more affordable I'd love one.
£60K LOL

Get a really nice 356 Replica and a Really nice 987 and save £25-30K

Green laning I suppose is the main option for something like that, and there's always off road days with those weird came wearing murder peoplehehe you just have to avoid the result deep puddles. I am curious now what most Nomad owners do with them when it comes to the none tarmac stuff. I might have a look for the owners forum/Facebook group and see if there's anything on there.

Ive thought about building one of the MX5s. I was going to ask the local rally school if I could use their facilities. I know people have taken their own rally cars there for testing so guess they might be open to it

Yes - just about bang-on! What an era for great japanese car design.

..Makes me wonder where the hell Toyota have gone with the design of the new Supra though.
