The "writer" of that article couldn't have got many more basic engine-related facts wrong if he tried...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolls-Royce_Meteor

"engine from a British Spitfire fighter plane"
"24-cylinder"

The car's a cracker though!

Which is what it is ... DVLA have it down as 27,000cc so I presume it's all properly registered.

That would be a sure-fire winner in Top Trumps!

I used to read ppc but stopped because they never ever finished their projects..

Did he ever get the gearbox sorted out properly?

I wonder if he still has to remove the windscreen for the MoT test.

Why does he need to remove the windscreen for MoT? Is it because it’s Perspex?

They still never finish anything, and it's starting to wear thin on me too. He did sort the gearbox, then took the engine out to add turbos, that didn't go well (can't remember why), so he's now supercharging it. At least, he was in the last update. Can't comment on the windscreen, is it because if it has a windscreen, it must have wipers?

I want to like it but those arches just look too big or misshapen.

Yep, if it has a windscreen it has to have wipers, for an IVA it has to have washer as well if screen fitted, obviously no room in it for that!

You know I will probably get lynched for this, but these restomods are leaving me a bit cold now. They are literally everywhere, on every car show. They are having to go further and further to make an impression (such as some of Dave Kingdigs work). I'm a massive fan of the less is more school (look at my modified Sagaris for example), but I'm seeing market saturation on this now.

I agree. Totally original or very mildly modded is more special than these things now.
