It's done a few laps of ebay now with different sellers but a lot of the same pictures and same problems for a few years
Problems?
Probably the typical "just needs a few minor issues finishing off"... And neglecting to mention that it needs an IVA test and re-registering with a Q plate!

Why are there 2 giant lumps of ginger attached to the engine?

It’s also running DCT transmission.
This should be epic
It should be, however.... IMHO the engine doesn't suit the character of the car. A snarling V8, a Speed Six that sounds like a ton of pissed off wasp I totally get. But a V10 that isn't an LFA motor.... I hope I'm wrong as it deserves to be superb.

(sigh)

I had it in mind a "fig of ginger" - hence my pun.

Turns out I had a moment of brain-fade.

Yes it's a bit chilly this time of year to be exiled from your own joke without a coat on!

owned by the nutter Michael Fröhlich, who also has a 'sculpture park' of rotting away cars in a wood in Germany

Its funny how these modified old cars are posted in this thread, but if someone does it to a modern car it ends up in the other thread.

I know what you mean, but maybe when compared to an unmodified Camargue..? You can't polish a turd, but you can sprinkle it with glitter...?

I like the VW bus in the background smile I love things like this in general, they inject a bit of fun into the world

That is superb.

It manages to exhibit both restraint and a dollop of the extrovert. Lovely, powerful lines that are not inconsistent with the original.
and yet, to my eyes, the windscreen is a mess.

Despite all the very nice fabrication and design elsewhere, he's left a chopped windscreen in place.
Interesting!

If we could reconstruct the windscreen any way we'd want: How would you do it differently? (I ask because I'm curious)

Sinister. Ideal for a movie role!

Shoot it in slow motion, gliding along rain-swept streets round an urban, industrial area. Music track, natch. Hard-pounding guitar or, for a bit of irony, an impish classical number.

Alternatively: It's on the motorway, maneuvering at insane speeds while dispatching foes in lesser cars.

Funny that you should say that. When I first looked at that car I thought 'Christine' ... but I couldn't remember what colour Christine was so I Googled it and then never bothered to post because of the colour.

And I thought of "The Car" - the worst movie in Creation by the way...
