Long story the guy who built it , built it as a showcase to show what he could do . He had a thing for these engines as built one in the past and built two more same engine combo . I think at one stage he may have bought some cars very cheap and broken them .

Charlie Emerick built it didn’t he? I remember seeing it debuted at, I think, the NSRA Supernats at Knebworth or maybe Old Warden. Lovely rod

Years ago I nearly bought a BMW 3.0Li and that would have been epic with a similar type of conversion. Maybe a V10 from the M5?

Hate to disagree but I can't see the point. I'm not a purist but that looks pretty hideous IMHO.

If you wanted a modern Maybach why not just buy one?
