I normally quite like the clear indicators. Certainly looks better on the front ones.
Any more plans for the car?
I just noticed the number plate too. Nice touch.
Only pic I have of the car at normal height is below, to answer a question above. This is a bit higher than i run it now, but even here - that is lower than a static lowered SEC.Any more plans for the car?

I bent a wing running it lower still when i came into my driveway too fast and too low -but the height now (bit lower than this) has so far been issue free.
Plans for the car are:
- finally fix the AC. That photo is outside an AC shop that does RS24 gas (substitute for R12), but when testing he found the condenser leaked. And - good luck finding an AC Condenser for one of these! NLA - so after months of searching, got it re-cored by a company in Newcastle, and it's just come back in a huge box today.
- Headlining. The interior now after seats restored is gorgeous. Looks factory fresh. Headlining though is not - we have a proper old school trimmers locally who works on some very expensive stuff (Bugattis!) so getting them to do the headlining in something very non-original (thinking white...)
- Engine: Chain won't go on forever, and whilst I've replaced the injectors, which helped it a lot, there is still a small vacuum leak somewhere which goes a bit beyond my own spannering confidence. There is a specialist in Crewe who can do a full top end rebuild. Would like to do it for piece of mind. And then - got to be a bespoke exhaust to hear that V8 better
- Parcel shelf rot. They all have this, mine is pretty good - but, it's still slowly going. £2.5k job, but - good for future proofing.
- It probably needs a big stereo, with a period-looking head unit. be rude not to....

Rear lights - they split opinion, but I prefer them after much photoshop comparisons and debates in my head.. Removal of the orange makes it look cleaner, in my view. But - beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that.
Wheels are modified: one-off split 18" rims built from an 16" ARC Alurad original. wanted something original-ish, but not too bling, and not the more obvious AMG-look.
Since the photo, have sorted out the front headlight wipers that kept me awake at night, had the seats all restored- and awaiting a trimmers to be available to do the headlining. and then - full engine refresh is probably well overdue. Chain doesnt rattle, but - 140k miles, so it's probably best i just get it done...
do a reader's car piece on it - even though it's not totally my cuppa it is interestingWheels are modified: one-off split 18" rims built from an 16" ARC Alurad original. wanted something original-ish, but not too bling, and not the more obvious AMG-look.

Bit of an example where you have to point out how it's actually modified I feel... apart from aftermarket seats which albeit are very nice, I can't see what else has been done?Gameface said:
Still looks good at running height.
A friend of dad's had one when I was a kid and the seatbelt arms were the coolest thing in the world to me!
My dad had a Guards Red 930 Porsche Turbo and to the utter bemusement of my father, I preferred the Mercedes.
ah the "seat belt butlers" - those things are an absolute b1tch to get working again! In fact, it'll be a year this bank holiday since I finally got both of mine butlering away properly. And the rear blind feature as well. Much fun trying to work out an ancient wiring diagram....A friend of dad's had one when I was a kid and the seatbelt arms were the coolest thing in the world to me!

Shot of the car from october 2019, before about 14 grand and lots of suspension/interior/electrical/engine/paint improvements....
I dunno- I think the clear ones look better, and match the removal of the gingercators at the front as well.
To be honest for some reason the front clear lights look good but the rear ones don’t. I dunno- I think the clear ones look better, and match the removal of the gingercators at the front as well.
