By "based on a Boxster" they appear to mean it's a custom spaceframe with a Boxster engine mounted in it. That's a bit like saying a Caterham is based on a Ford Focus.
But why oh why use an automatic!?
I'd imagine it was easier than redesigning the shift linkage. I'm wondering why they'd go to the trouble of making a new chassis but still get the proportions so wrong, that front overhang is massive. Definitely a no to the odd looking single seat auto from me, I'd rather have a standard Boxster.But why oh why use an automatic!?
