That seems likely. The steering wheel seems to be in as far as it will go; perhaps the driver was morbidly obese?

The driver must have decided to scam for whiplash and played up the whole "my neck hurts" thing.
Cue the fire service treating it as a spinal and off comes the roof.

That would look brilliant with a sheet of curved glass going over it, windscreen and roof as one so to speak.

As for the accident, I suspect the casuality had his or her neck twisted to one side, maybe looking out the side window, and was then hit from the rear, causing awkward whiplash.

Or they just wanted money for nothing.

I agree. There's even damage from a bump at the rear.

"Waaah, my neck hurts! WAAAAH!"

Very odd. Would you expect to see one of the fake accident guys driving one of those?

That's so awesome. Would it pass an MOT like that, if you smoothed the edges a bit and applied a windscreen?

This.

My brother hit someone at the weekend. Well 'touched' rather than hit to be precise, absolutely zero damage to either car and he was going less than walking pace. His car is much smaller than the other car too.

Female passenger is immediately holding her neck and since proclaims to have 'severe' whiplash.

Some people are clearly so fragile they shouldn't be out and about at all.

Good god, I'm on skype atm, linked the car and said it was probably a whiplash scam and one of the people I was talking to said "I'll have to do that if I'm ever in a crash"

Pointed out it was fraud and they said "but you said the doctors couldn't disprove it"

I'm speechless. mad

Sadly this is the opinion of an increasing proportion of the population.

No.

Could you really sit in your pride and joy and watch them take the jaws of life to your pillars? frown Even if I was properly hurt, I would be going "look its just a twinge, I can get .....oooww. .... out on my ..... aaarrrr .... own"

Top tip. If you ever go to a minor rtc, don't ever sit anybody in your car. There's a few police cars that have been turned into convertibles because of that.

Heard a story once of a guy stopping at a crash to give his details as a witness, was sitting in his car giving the details to the guy who'd been hit when the fire service showed up, cue the fake whiplash and his car being beheaded.
He'd picked it up from the dealer brand new 2 days before.
