I don't know why but the FF is the only Ferrari that doesn't look it's best in red. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not?
There hasn't been a 4 seat V12 Ferrari that looked good in red, since the 365GTC/4 and even then it was best in other colours. Even the very first series 2+2 Ferrari (250GTE) looked better in other colours than Rosso Corsa and that was back when Rosso Corsa was real Rosso Corsa and not dayglow orange! AndrewW-G said:

The original Rosso Corsa was a darker blood red, very similar to the modern Rosso Barchetta, with the colour becoming lighter from the mid 1960's on (there are dozens of paint codes for it) . . . . I have a can of Rosso Corsa that was in the spares pack given to the first UK owner of 0152EL (which was one of the first Ferrari road cars imported into the UK) by the factory in the mid 1950's
Yes I know there are lots and lots of variations of "Corsa" But I would say the modern version, 322 I believe, is rather nice but I am biased By contrast the mid 2000s Rosso Scuderia is a much less attractive shade made worse by it being effectively influenced by Marlboro sponsorship
