RE: 'World's fastest Lotus' crashed

I know not many like this kind of remarks, but:
and now a wind-up: so, that Lotus is not that fast, since it was caught by the Porsche?

So I'm going up the fwy on ramp this morning at 9:00 am and I see a silver/grey Porsche in my rear view as I'm going up the ramp, I signal left as I always do and accelerate through the first three gears up to 60-65 mph I pull into the number four lane and there is no one to the left/behind and no one in front of me so I am in cruise mode as I signal left to make my way to the number two lane at 65 mph when all of the sudden BAM I'm in a fkin spin like you wouldn't fkin believe and come to a stop with my left rear end stuffed into the K rail on the right side of the hwy
So he changed lane left and got hit from behind. Sounds like he could have pulled in on the porsche from that. I think in the US you can pass on either side? Surely the fault would lie with whoever was changing lane. I only bring this up as I think his threats to the porsche driver seem over the line to me.Buzz word said:

I think there are a plethora of absolutely ghastly, prepubescent, armchair expert, keyboard warriors on this forum. Yes, Frank was a bit upset by the photo caption of his creation so got a bit riled up and defensive. The problem as I understand it is that Frank is an American and this is a British forum. I don't want to generalise too much but in my experience of Americans on a car forum, they take comments they read in the same way as if they were said to their face. Whereas us Brits have grown up on a diet of sadistically cruel, satirical, often offensive and personal attacks on forums and learned to just ignore them in a way that would be impossible if said to you in a pub, I don't think, in general, Americans have.
So when a guy comments about his car, he gets more defensive and rude than we are used to, but that's because he cares what you think (or more likely what opinion others might form based on your comments), you should take it as a compliment, or ps off. He doesn't have to accept your negative comments about his car or taste anymore than you have to like his car.
Personally, I think Frank sounds like a great guy who is a true petrolhead, or Gearhead in his language, and the Exige is fantastic. Hope he gets well soon, and the Porsche owner dies of Syphilis.

I think the irony might have been lost on you.
Oh please, there is nothing faintly ironic about your little stampy foot rant above. And perhaps the chap in question should be a bit more resilient to the views of the masses considering he seems so keen to share his every gear change with us all.
