He's placing a lot of emphasis on what a sedate drive he was enjoying as well which just seems a little,... ermmm... you know.

Sounds to me like the guy behind pulled hard thinking the elise was going to go, then the elise let off but the other car was too close and didn't react quick enough.

I find the presenter in the vid more offensive. What happens to the power/weight ratio with him inside?

"A slotcar has tons of grip right up until the point that it doesn't, and when you lose it, it flies off the track and hits somebody in the face...this is like a slotcar, only replace track with road and face with cliff"

So it flies off the road and hits somebody in the cliff? Interesting...

Sounds like he's got a massive chip on his shoulder to me.

And as for the brown nosing report on GG, I've never read anything quite so weak in my life, it reads like a 10 years olds diary whose lunch money has just been stolen by the class bully.

Pathetic.

Is there any way that Pistonheads can fix it so that we get pictures of ladies' bottoms attached to every post, like in Ronin's site.
Bit of class I reckon...

dont really know who this guy is, but I like his lotus, shame its damaged, and everyone speculating what happened, well none of us were there were we? i read the previous forum where he got a bit arsey with folk, that doesnt mean he's a total tw*t and as a result the accident is his fault.

Glad the guy's ok, that's most important.

Glad he's finally had some sort of comeuppance though. I've just read through the original thread, and what an epic c*ck this bloke is.

I thought that about him aswell tbh but i suppose he's just upset about what's happened to his pride and joy. From the description of the accident it does sound like it was more his fault than the porsche drivers but according to him the police has said he was not to blame and the porsche driver is liable.

Love the look; love the work he's done to it.(I'm a fan of his colour choice as well)
Don't know the guy, regardless it takes nothing away from his car and the work he's done/ had done.
I’d love to take it for a spin through the 'Canyons' driving

Shame about the bump…
Looks like a coloured plastic insert that has been damaged on the back wheel.

I didn't mean about this accident, I try not to draw opinions from internet videos as no one was there, and something will always be omitted. I mean he came across as a c*ck in his previous postings here. His car the best in the world and all that. Anyone with money could do that, it isn't really a talent.

Liking or loathing that car is definitely a taste thing. To me it's hideous regardless of what's under the 'hood'. "Land that taste forgot" seeme perfectly apt in my opinion. This PH article seems to be grovelling for no apparent reason.

As for the owner's internet manners, I think the least said the better.

I think the real talent behind the Exige is the guy that did the work and responded to Frank's incessant "more power!!!" requests with "Ok", rather than "Bugger off you loon."

It's a great car, true, and I imagine Frank's probably a nice bloke in person, but he's crap at taking jibes, which inevitably leads to people taking it 'too far' and results in boringly crude exchanges in any threads that he's in. If I want to hear idiots fighting I'll go on Xbox live thanks very much...

Just read that other thread and am appalled at the way people are talking to him. He's got an incredible car and clearly loves it and people are just shooting him down. Very sad to see...

To Frank: I'm a big fan of the car, looks great fun in a brilliantly silly way. I wish you the best with fixing it, I'm sure it won't be too much work smile
I couldn't agree more.

Appalling behaviour of some people on Jalopnik, Lotus Sport and other forums. I believe it was quite a nasty shunt and a neck brace was initially needed for Frank. frown

Just shows how many idiots there are on forums - bet that confidence translates well into the real world..... rolleyes
Have you read what he's posted on the Lotus forums?

Arrogant/Ignorant/Rude take your pick, or add them all up, but yes appalling behaviour of many, started by him

Yes he's had the money to get a great car built, so?

There are many people in a similar position who find no need to behave like that

That car has been my #1 car on the planet for some time, Frank is a legend and only someone with his personality and insane ideas could ever have the passion (and from somewhere the money?!) to build and maintain such a crazy car, which is why it's so unique.

Best of luck with fixing it up wink

Amazed no one has commented on the huge PH editorial back pedal on the car. Nice to see them admit they were a bit quick to judge it though.
