VW / Audi / Skoda and fog lights
Discussion
Nothing compared to jealous people with 'inferior' cars not blessed with these DRL pieces of st, driving around with sidelights on and fogs ablaze. Funnily enough i've seen a lot of older women doing it recently, i'm not sure they know they are on though and just put all their lights on to be safe. But why no headlights then?
NO they arent fog lights, they are totally seperate from the fog light, another bulb in another housing next to the fog light, there not at all bliding, found on the passat and superb etc and smaller ones such as fabias and polos
drls arent anything new though, i am yet to have been dazzled by any fog light in the day, or the night.

What are you studying? and is Diy Speicals meant to be spelled like that?drls arent anything new though, i am yet to have been dazzled by any fog light in the day, or the night.
I'd love to use my fog lights as DRLs instead of having my headlights on, but they're fog lights by virtue of the EU/BS marking on them, which means they can't be used as optional front position lamps. I presume these VAG DRLs have the appropriate markings to be used as front position lamps.

Not english then They are annoying though those DRL's get right in the eyes.
You are right, just today i saw a passat and crashed into a tree fmlMy Fabia has round LED DRLs in the place where foglights would normally go, and yes they look very much like I'm driving about with fogs on all the time.
There's apparently a switch under the dash to turn them off but they have to be supplied switched on. I think soon they will have to remove the switch so they are on permanently with no easy way for the owner to disable them.

The very first thing I did was turn them off at the fuseboard the moment the delivery driver got out of the car. On the Fabia vRS the DRL's are weapons grade wker lights, exactly where the front fogs would be, the same shape, and stupidly bright.
But as soon as you turn the lights on, they come back on

DRLS > HID > Fogs > Corning lights
all a excuse for people to moan cause they think a light will make people spaz out and flip their car into a dramatic fireball.
Omg once i totes crashed ma car on the motorway cause i seen a puff of black some come out a audi a3 and i was totally blinded and it was horrible and it had shiny lights and i was just so sad.
