RE: Chris Harris video: Noble M600 and Atom V8
Discussion
Always loved the idea of the Atom - always thought it was a car to experience as a driver instead of a machine which only accomodates you reluctantly as the weakest link (see Radical, Caterham etc.) - the V8 is a perhaps a little silly tho (esp the wings), I'd settle for a nice S/C one
The Noble isn't really my cuppa but my GOD that's a proper sounding car - where the 458/Mclaren have that high-tech 'whine and snarl' that's just old school "WAARGGGHHHH" - I'll bet other cars move over simply because they think Thor has arrived...

Great video.
I think DonkeyApple sums the Noble up perfectly, as did Harris. It's a car if you like driving, not dicking about with buttons and showing off to your mates... And it's so good to see a high end car with a proper manual gearbox! Hoorah!
I do think that the other two cars I mentioned are amazing drivers cars but I suspect I am not sufficiently evolved in the opposable thumbs department to enjoy all the buttons and settings many modern cars hurl at you. I just want a car you get into and drive and it's set well enough to pootle or rage round a circuit to not have to faff about with buttons and dials.
I've always loathed buttons and for me modern tech and great engineering are about removing buttons from my life not bringing me more.
I'm meant to be of the gadget generation and love this stuff but I can't abide it. I love the tech that works without you knowing.
The Noble seems dear next to those two cars but it's not mass produced and really does seem a very good car

Did you get the 2+2 version of the Typhon to solve that itch?
Yes. I like Tivs and the T440 carbon fibre semi tub design was an enormous leap forward for the company and gives an extremely rigid chassis with a solid cage. As the Typhon it gives you the ability to transport the family over distances and then have a sports car at the other end. And thanks to FedEx you don't have to worry about taking any luggage as it'll be there before you arrive. Do I regret not buying a Macca? Well yes, it's amazing but with two kids and living how we live it would have been in the garage since I bought it and never be used.

Very poetic way to describe a weekend of hooning, I must say LOL
It's important to find the time Second baby seat currently being fitted. We've ended up going for a more bespoke set up and having moulds made so the become part of the car in essence. Colour coded as well.

Just looked at your profile Donkeyapple - that's a very nice collection of cars (apart from the BM).
L.F.
Cheers. The boss needed an auto hatchback and the 1 series was the only one that had memory seats, room for me to drive comfortably and essentially a 3L straight six. L.F.
I've actually been surprised at how good it is but God is it dull to take for a hoon. Currently trying to persuade the wife that she could drive a Flying Spur but it's not going well.
The Rangie once complete will have around 400bhp so work quite well as a winter hooner.

DonkeyApple was yours the well used Typhoon at Str8six, if it was great to see such a car being used properly!
How different does the typhoon feel compared to the 350 or Griff for that matter? Does the car still feel like a TVR?
No, mines the only one they fitted with SC and then didn't deliver to the client but kept to use for getting the running gear right for the Typhoon. How different does the typhoon feel compared to the 350 or Griff for that matter? Does the car still feel like a TVR?
The silver one was sold as a T440 to LNT who later sold it and after a few incidents was at Jason's for sale. The other two cars are Reflex Charcoal Typhons also owned by PHers.
It's 100% TVR DNA. It just feels like a natural progression on from the other models but the handling is very good. It's on Ohlins anyway but it's very rigid.
It's a change from the T350 in the same way that was from the Griff. You know it's a TVR but you know it's moved the game on. You can feel that it's been born from a race car.
I had a runabout last Autumn with an F40. I was running mine in and he didn't want to run up bills but it sat behind his very well. It made me wonder if it was the English version but I saw in the vid that's the Noble.
Anyone know how many M600s there are out there? Assuming it's still <10 cars in total?
Baby blue: M600 GB
Grey: M600 RHD
Red: M600 LHD
Lovely blue tinted one for sale here: http://www.romansinternational.com/luxury-car/565/...
White one that was also for sale by Romans and is maybe now around Leicester?
Is that it at moment? Are they just slow building them or are they not really selling any?

The Atom is just insane and that induction noise is just addictive! Yes please for me
However, an ugly, big hp, rwd drive car costing way in excess of £200k, i have to be honest, it wouldnt be for me no matter what speed it did down the straight! Big hp and rwd isnt anything new, why does it cost so much?
