After hating the Ferrari FF, I was shocked, hurt and dismayed to find that McLaren are bandwagon-jumping so blatantly. I thought they were the voice of reason and sense in the world of footballer cars, but this has disrupted my faith in them!

I think the FF is great, and so would the McLaren estate be. You want a super car and have a young family, this means you can take it many more places.

it looks nice, but largely pointless. bearing in mind the engines still in the back. guess Rory Mcilroy need's to get to the green faster.

They really are tts arent they? "Exclusive pics"? Exclusive implies that noone else has them. Very predictably, theyre exclusive and no one else has them because THEY MADE THEM UP THEMSELVES.

Im not angry at them, Im angry at the dullards who lap this fairy tale "could look", "might be", "we think will be", "artists impression" st, up. Every week!

I like it. In fact i like it more than the ordinary coupe. I hope they make it.

Just adding it to the imaginary lottery win car shopping list. Tick!

"we’ve produced these exclusive images to show how it could look"

So it's made up.

Why did you think this was anything to do with any actual future McLaren?

Autocar is another magazine altogether. They specialise in giving breathless reviews to mediocre new cars wheras AutoExpress major in speculation over possible new cars, the vast majority of which never materialise.

Ha well I ranted once previously about AE and their exclusive/spy pics, and whilst this is an 'artist's' impression, McLaren are still developing a model in this space, which is the thing I was really complaining about, not what it looks like in the pics.

A 2 seater is hardly an estate either is it. Surely its just a sportscar with a boot?

Auto Express is the motoring equivalent of the Daily Mail. It consists of bks, and more bks.

Absolutely, bks bks bks, what is the point of the extra roof? Its mid-engined!! Kind of see the point on the FF, the engines upfront.

2 seater, mid engined, supercar based, estate car...

Even by Auto Expresses standards, that is laughable, I bet I know why theydidn't run the story on the 1st!

The FF is estate shaped to give more space because the engine is in the front. The McLaren is mid engined, are they going to put a parcel shelf on top of the engine and call it a boot? hehe

I like it. It's hardly an estate though.
