Some Dutch friends have an ex-UN one of those that they bought in Egypt. It's been driven all over the middle east, north Africa and the scenic way around most of Europe. Several times. Just won't die. Perfect vehicle for their adventurous family of 6. It's their only car though, so now they're back in the UK it doesn't move much. Thirsty old girl with the petrol straight 6.

I do like the idea of a 4x4 Land Cruiser but as said before these things really do hold their price. I remember looking at one a few years back and a Pajero was about 2K but one of these (and old as well) was about 9K!
Ditto.

Want a LandCr but they are so fecking pricey for a Dog/Beater/Winter car.

Hence the Trooper.
I think from what someone told me is that the Toyota can be repaired almost anywhere in the world due to the dealerships everywhere (not sure about 9000ft up some mountain) and even some back street man with a hammer holds spares.

Had an Amazon from '97 as a company car, great piece of kit, put 113k miles on it in a little over a year without fault. Great on road and cruises at 80mph without problem, off road it was only limited by it's long wheelbase.

Loved this article and the thread that followed. Think PH should do a review of the 10 best Zombie vehicles!

Sweet jesus - if the zombies come, you numpties will be the appetisers!

If you took the time to read the thread (I'm guessing you'd have no hope with instructions wink ), you'd have seen that this was already done on page 2: -

I can spend literally hours finding vehicles for surviving the zombie apocalypse, it's defeinitely a guy thing... I've even planned out escape routes and locations that are zombie proof or proofable.. I really need to get out more or stop driving around the countryside alone with my thoughts.

The land Cruiser is pretty awesome, I'd not want the canvas sides to the top bit though..

Lads, if you're going to survive, you need to pay attention! tongue out

for 35000 you can buy a lot of treadmills
they are the only 100% way of stopping mutant zombie attack as long as they face outwards

If you're going to correct other, make sure you read what you're aiming to correct.
TomMc1990 said to do a Review of the top 10, which i take as testing said vehicles with actual Zombies, in a bloody-hell-fest kind of setup.

You're right. I'm sorry, I should have assume - as you have - that Tom wanted PH to test vehicles with "actual Zombies, in a bloody-hell-fest kind of setup." Those would be easy to achieve test scenarios. rolleyes

I stand by what I said.

I might also add that the chances of any of us actually being able to afford any of those listed on that top 10 (let alone store one on the drive at home) would be near impossible. We need real world options. Not fantasy land stuff. This is a serious issue.

£35k for that?!

If you're going to do a job, do it properly - yours for almost the same money, double bed (quite comfy I must add!) kitchen shower and the ability to run on pretty much anything vaguely combustible. I've just fitted a new water filtration system for it too, massive tanks under the back for long trips, grey water storage...

and yeah my mate is selling it at the moment, obvious plug is obvious hehe
