I have the opportunity to swap my car (with cash my way) for a 2005 Ford Fiesta Zetec S TDCI with 188k. Are there any major concerns with one of these at that mileage? What should be a reasonable price for one with 12 months MOT?
I'd suggest you ask whether the injector seals have been replaced. My 1.4tdci was on 133k when they needed doing. If you smell diesel in the cabin when the vents are on, or see a little white smoke on tickover when the bonnet is up then the seals may be the cause. Not a big problem if caught early.

I really like that, looks to be in great nick too.

Depending on the work done then that could be a steal for someone.

Really? From the pics it looks quite tidy given the miles.
More to the point howmuch fuel has it used up in that time?

I used to have one and it averaged 23 mpg so you could work it out. Not bad for such a big beast, damn expensive to service though!

..couldn't resist, that's exactly 12,000 gallons of fuel. Average petrol price for last month was 129.74p so that's £70,777.06 at today's prices.

Christ that thing is still for sale? I remember seeing that well over a year ago!

Love it though, I wonder what the history of it is?

Not saying I would but it looks very clean for a cab with a third of a million on it.

That's what I thought.

Perhaps there is one too many zeroes?

I can see it being worth about a grand, no more though! It is nearly 10 years old after all, how much would an average mileage Sharan be worth on an 05 plate?

This, wasn't there a similarly high mileage one for sale (of a similar age) for £850 a few pages back?

Interesting - I did a quick Autotrader search - most Sharans of this age and engine seem to have upwards of 150K and prices asked seem to be similar for 150-300K.
