He's joking.
But you're right. It's almost never the engine, it's just a massive bill for a number of faults that usually end a cars life.
But if someone can do a bit of spannering themselves then nothings out of bounds. I follow a guy on youtube who fixes old Ferraris on his drive, usually for peanuts with the occasional big bill that probably equals the cost of a cam belt service at a main dealer for something like a Passat. It's pretty interesting to follow.
To be fair a lot of garage bills are labour, I can imaging Ferrari dealers charging 200 quid an hour. Its all just nuts and bolts, be it a 355 or a 205But you're right. It's almost never the engine, it's just a massive bill for a number of faults that usually end a cars life.

Ferrari are actually pretty reasonable. Probably helps with free servicing and a decent warranty on them but McLaren are far worse.
Wanted £250+vat to do the tracking on the 570S.
Is that a full 3d type alignment? If so its not a total rip off. You'd be looking £150 odd on any other car.Wanted £250+vat to do the tracking on the 570S.

Not super high mileage, but I'm tempted to buy this Range Rover.
Fairly normal useage, apart from the 2 years doing 60k miles a year!

Garage I use for my cheap trade cars repair anything from a focus to a bentley/porshe/ferrari.
None of the guys there have been trained on anything specific bar one who was bmw trained but everything gets fixed no matter what it is, nothing gets turned away and it's £50ph straight.
Like you say it's all just nuts and bolts... just different quality nuts and bolts..

MOT history suggests it was a taxi - 335k.
Looks like it's been well maintained, but it's a brave punt

Has anyone purchased from carswith no res? I guess it is no different to buying from an auction itself. There is never any mention of the mechanical defects or anything else etc. This wouldnt be a problem if they were down the road but im 2 hours away from them so bit of a fker if you drove all that way.
I almost did. Bought a 300c needing an MOT. They promised to get it through for £250. Once they got the list of failures back and a quote of close to 2k from the garage they use to do the work they politely told me they couldn't go through with the deal.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2017-PEUGEOT-5008-1-6-B...
3 year old Peugeot on 170k, seems good going. Not had it's first MOT yet, so might end up with a haircut.
Edit - Actually 2 and half years old!

Will be worth watching the future MOT history of that.
