I thought the engines in those were pretty well regarded if you kept on top of maintenance (and replaced the wet belt which most people don’t)

Likewise, I was under the impression the 2.0 tdci in the mk4 was a pretty solid unit if maintained properly. I know the mk3 diesels could give quite a lot of issues though.

Interior condition looks amazing for that mileage, Audis often show more wear on the switches at 100k than that

That Mondeo is realtively low mileage if it has been used by one man as a rural taxi.

I have a 68 plate Galaxy that has just turned 14 months old and has 85k on it. It won't see it's 10th birthday. I'll be surprised if it sees it's 5th.

My cars generally do 70k a year and once they hit 200k anything big means a trip to the scrap yard or eBay. That said, I might have to up that a bit, because cars seem to be looking good and going well for longer.

I just sold my 180k Accord tourer to a taxi driver doing the pub/ club weekend grind in Birmingham. He said he doesn’t buy below 150k anymore and runs most cars until 300k unless they die

Those Fords are pretty robust on the whole, but watch out for intake manifold cracking

The extended cab (this one) does, double cab has a larger back seat area and normal rear doors
