As always with these things I think the floor is the price of parts. Surely just the wheels are worth a few hundred quid. Once you start adding up other bits and pieces you quickly get to 2000. Perhaps if you have one already you could buy this for spares. I bought a diesel s type many years ago and it all felt very tired when I bought it at 140k from Cars With No Reserve.

Welding in new cats is no biggie, yeah the gearbox issue could be interesting but I get a vibe from the description that the seller is being pretty honest and it's indeed electrical not mechanical so may not be the end of the world.

It's £2k advertised, if you can get a couple hundred off then it could be a little gem, and as said the breaking value is almost certainly more than what you'd pay for it.

Whilst not quite at those miles yet, I've got a daily driven S6 that i'm aiming to hit 250,000 miles in during my career.

I expect an S63 AMG is a fine way to complete that volumes of miles in though.
