IIRC some doctors on call, emergency teams etc in the NHS use ID.4’s , I think they replaced the Skoda Octavia Scouts / vRS that used to be used

you do get some interesting/odd stuff popping up in the auctions occasionally. like this... I mean it's not the most obvious car for the mileage is it!

Always wonder what the story is with base spec white goods cars with mega mileage like that.
I read one explanation that they are used by Coach companies to ferry drivers around the country (might be rubbish but would make sense that they've opted for the most miserable car to do it in). Might not be long trips but doubt the engine gets cold..
It works out at a weekly average of 440 miles which isn't ridiculously high. Since Covid & WFH became more of a thing I've noticed a lot of house cleaners / care workers etc using vehicles like this, so buzzing about visiting multiple clients a day you could rack up that kind of mileage quite easily I'd assume.

My sisters first car back in late 09 was a 2006 Ford Ka with 110k miles on it. It was purchased by someone who worked for the Williams F1 team, and he commuted each day between his house in Southampton and the factory in Grove. It wasn't even a top spec model, I think it was the Collection which meant body colour bumpers, CD player etc. but it didn't have air con.

The car gave her 3 or 4 years of stellar service and it was absolutely immaculate, the interior was honestly like new (even smelt new). I think it cost her £2500 at the time, the same money wouldn't have gotten her into a knackered 10 year old Polo.

Definitely a strange choice to rack up so many miles so quickly, but probably quite cost effective and not to mention fun on some of the back roads he would have frequented.

An impressive 181,200 miles from this 2016 Fiat 500, 69bhp 1.2 engine.

22,500 miles a year in this very dated little car (no height adjustable seats, nor is the steering wheel adjustable for reach, and a generally terrible driving position)

But yet, for all the love and good servicing it's been given, davanti tyres were what it deserved.

Not a lot compared to some cars that have already been posted on here but that’s a lot of miles for a GP3.

Late 2020 Alpina B3 G21 on 128k miles

With custom Alpina Lavalina interior as well... the first and only owner has enjoyed it a lot.
