RE: Lamborghini Urus SUV leaked
Discussion

That is exactly the same arguement that people had when rumours started about Porsche building an SUV. They have not established themselves in that niche. BMW did the same with the X5 with no history at all in the segment bar owning Rover for a few years and helpin develop the Range Rover. What Lamborghini appear to be offering is an SUV, built on VW's new light weight MQB chassis and use lots of aluminium and carbon fibre to produce a vehicle lighter than anything currently out there. The seating position will be lower than any current SUV. It won't be a Q7 in a party dress.
It won't be built in Cayenne numbers. Will it suffer massive depreciation, who knows maybe it will, maybe it won't. If it does then obviously it's great that you can buy one. Big Mercs, BMW's, Range Rovers all depreciate madly.
If you find yourself in one after 3-4 years it will still be a Lamborghini so you can still expect big service bills.
The more I look at it, if I had the money, I would definitely be in my fantasy stable.

show me where in the lead article it mentions sales figures.
what's more typical is people like yourself who can't let a glib remark slide unless festooned with smileys or LULZ.
Easy now shirt... Life is too short to get all worked up. My comment about not reading the whole article and then going on to mention sales were separate comments. As you feel aggrieved I will apologise.what's more typical is people like yourself who can't let a glib remark slide unless festooned with smileys or LULZ.
I don't base my views/comments on one, PH's, right up. I'm an enthusiast so I read as much info as I can find and build up a clearer picture of what's happening.
I'm not a big fan of SUV's, they are pretty pointless but so are most cars realistically... I don't need my own car, a TT, a Twingo would achieve the the primary task of getting me from here to there but I don't want one. Call it, vanity, badge snobbery, whatever. I bought what I wanted. And that is why the Urus will sell. It's not what you need, it's what you want.
BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME.
I'll ignore your smilie comment because you don't know me.

Vanity in a TT? Hahahahahahahaha, good one!
It was a jest, thought I'd say it before anyone else jumped in with the poser/girls/hairdressers car thang... I bought it for me, not to impress others but I can laugh off all the jokes as I can see where they're coming from.Nice looking seats.
Give it full length gull wing doors and then they could claim some link to the Marzal. 'It's that rigid it's an offroader with gulling doors'. The Marzal gullwings had upper and lower windows and I'm not sure potential buyers would want people looking at their calves and that of their passengers or covered in mud after being offroader.

I'm just kidding! Must admit i had a look at your profile, your TT does look good. You picked a decent colour too.
Cheers Wheelman... I love it but of course now I'm gonna get slaughter by some posters lol.It was one of those 'I'm just popping down the dealer for a test drive' moments. No intension to buy as I'd only 3 weeks earlier replaced my MK1 TT which was stolen as we slept. They'd broken in and took the keys. Anyway after the test drive I was offer a great deal, traded the car I'd not long bought and current car on the drive.
