We have:

BMW 335d Touring
VW Caifornia 4Motion camper van

And TBH it's the ideal combination for us.

I guess if I was absolutely minted, the BM would be a Merc C63 estate or maybe the new Alpina D5 Touring. Wouldn't replace the camper with anything else - it's flipping brilliant.

Land Rover Freelander 1 td4 for the wife (although a RAV4 would probably be better and cheaper, but a bit too girly!)
If it's for your wife, does it matter that it's "too girly"?

Porsche 993 Carrera 4
Mercedes-Benz E300 Diesel T-Model (w124)

Surely the answer in almost every case is (1) fun car of your choice and (2) practical car of your choice?

My current duo does ok; 407 hdi daily for when I'm not cycling and a 986 Boxster S for sunny days

Ideal world; rs6 to chuck the bike in, 911 997 turbo cabriolet for euro trips.

Yes, but if it's the family car, I would still drive it occassionally (she doesn't get car sick when she's sat up higher)!

yikes

Next one is called the 760LH due to the F1 driver who has purchased it - as a manual biggrin

Audi RS4 Avant + Porsche 997 Turbo should cover most needs... Space, track, gt, reliability etc.

But my God that's a boring combo.

It has to be at least three cars! Realistic:

1 - A sensible daily driver with good handling that doesn't get tiring, Alpina D3 Biturbo E91 LCI
2 - A proper sports car which is daily drivable and has a little raw feel to it, Honda S2000 AP1
3 - A multi purpose SUV (trashing winter time, offroading summer time), Subaru Forester XT 2.5 SG - this car stays outside
