I'd keep my old Norfolk shed for weekends but swap my French peasant wagon for my dad's rather more stately Aston as a daily. Vaguely realistic two car garage.

If I can somehow wangle it, using lots of man maths, then a GT3 would compliment the M3 very well.

Very good question, as it really restricts your chioces to something ultimately usable.

Of my current garage I could realistically make do with these two:

GT3

Skoda

Not sure if it is a dream garage or attainable as of yet - but a realistic dream garage would be a BMW 550d Xi and a Porsche 997 GT3 RS 4.0.

Money no object garage?

Realistic:

Daily - Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTDm Sportwagon
Fun - Lotus Excel

Cost-no-object:

Daily - Maserati Quattroporte GTS
Fun - The winner from a Seventies GT showdown between an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, De Tomaso Longchamp, Ferrari 365 GTC, Jensen Interceptor and Maserati Indy, or failing that, a Broadsport-modified Jaguar XK120.
