£15 k bought me a Porsche Boxster S and an L322 Range Rover Vogue in the past 6 weeks.
I doff my PH cap to you Sir!
Miscounted! It was actually £14.2k. That includes a p/x where I might have made up to £1k more if I had sold the Jeep privately. There are some great 'cheap' cars out there.

Those 6-series BMWs are looking laughably cheap compared to what people pay for them new.

Unfortunately I have no use for one...

2003 996 c4 for £14k full history 85k miles.

300 miles to a tank ( £80 to fill ) 12k mile service intervals most expensive service ( once every 36k ) under £400 if done at a decent independant ( google northway ).

Tax £260 ish a year.

£600 to insure ( 35 yr old with 4 yrs no claims ) fully comp.

At £8000 for a great one, surely the Boxster S is a better buy than a ropey 996?

The E46 M3 is a better car, better built, better to drive, just without the over hyped Porsche badge.
I bought a 2005 Boxster S last year to go with my M3 so can compare the 2.
The biggest plus of the Porsche was resale, I made money and could of sold it time again, the M3 was harder due to the subframe scares.

£10100 for the Boxster and just £8000 for the M3 when I sold them recently.

Bought a 2003 Volvo S60 T5 a few months back. List price over 30k, sub-80k miles but condition very good. 250bhp Q-car with the most comfortable seats ever...less that £3k.

I recently bought a 55 plate Jag XKR-S for 23K....admit that I will lose money short term but who knows in the long term! In the meantime I'm happy enough scaring myself with the loud pedal..

I know its standard PH, but I picked up a Mk1 Eunos (Mx5) S-Special Type 2. Which includes some trick bits but most importantly an Lsd. For under a grand.... Just back from a tour of Europe including, Germany, Belgium and Holland. Even survived a proper hoon around the 'ring. Couldn't have asked for more!

For an all round car that is good at pretty much everything, IMO it has to be the mk3 Mondeo. I can't believe how much car you can get for so little money!
Agreed. It's not a thing of beauty but neither is my Impreza WRX Estate for that matter and that was a great used car bargain. I always thought these looked pretty sweet!

Grrreat car. Currently selling mine but the price it's going for is turning me sick... worth way more.

MG's

Not a fan of the ZS but the ZR and ZT are great bargains.
Yes, granted the original ZR and ZT looked a lot better than the Rovers that they were based on. The ZS was less of a success stylistically IMHO but the ZS 180 (V6) is a cracking fast road/track car for peanuts. Conversely, the late-life facelift ruined the looks of the ZR and ZT but I think the facelifted ZS looked rather good in a purposeful sort of way!

Deepends on how much you like R32s. I've always thought of them as the fat kid at a sports day.

They're also hideously expensive, ugly, no where near practical enough, not quick enough and apparently understeer drastically.

Been having thoughts about these recently, enough to consider making a what car thread involving them, Merc CLS also seems cheap for the original price.

I used to have a 306gti and the r32 is far more fun to drive, better handling (4wd), more powerful, faster, sounds better, much much better build quality, looks alot better and depreciation is alot less. I also had a focust st which pissed allover my old 306gti too.
