Sensing opportunity the goal for Silverstone is a minimum of 500 cars so if you're a Ferrari owner and fancy getting involved you can check out the Ferrari Racing Days website, Ferrari agreeing to donate £5 for each car attending to the automotive industry charity BEN.
£5 a car? That's fekin big of them.....miserable tight wads

Anyone fancies going halves on an MR2 kitcar and going?
I'd stump up a couple of hundred towards one of those TR7-based F40 look-not-very-alikes so long as we go dressed head to toe in Ferrari merchandise and refuse to admit to anyone there that it's not the genuine article.Would anyone dare turn up in an MR2 kit?

The Ferrari weekend a few years was epic although, sadly, there were to many cars on the track to hear the engine noises as they lapped the circuit.
Would be good of they staggered the cars so that the drivers can exercise their right foot on the loud pedal - we can but hope.
Not going to the Revival so I guess SIverstone in where I'll be that weekend.
Hopefully non Ferrari's will be banned on th pre track - at the Classic last year they used Maserati pace cars during the E-type parade!
Dumb ass thing to do in my opinion.
Personally I would get on the phone to a certain Mr Mason & do a deal to get his 312T3 to SIlverstone for the weekend to lead the parade.
Maybe even get it out on track being driven properly, ie quickly, around the GP circuit. That alone would be worth the entry charge.

Well, here is someone who might! He did have the balls to turn up at the recent Piazza Italia in Horsham...a day for all things Italian. Parked next to a Lambo and an old Alfa. Looked like it fooled many there!
oh for the... look at that engine cover. looks like the plastic will warp quite easily when warm. my girlfriend had it spot on; these reps are akin to a knock-off designer handbag. there's a guy that lives near me with one of those 406 coupé based 360 reps.i love my MR2 but it's all about enjoying them for what they are (a lot of fun for the money), even if every mention on PH invokes comments involving words like 'chav' and 'great if you still live at parent's house'. 500 Ferraris should be quite a sight but personally I've never seen the attraction of crawling round a race track on a parade lap.
I have to agree and will be pretty boring to watch.... but just applied to take part in it! quite excited. Driven Silverstone lots on trackdays, this will be alot slower but hopefully quite an experience.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
