One thing you have to say for Lotus: they make sure they really nail each area of motorsport they enter before moving onto the next one. This ensures they don't look like they're messing around in a half-baked manner.

Oh, hang on.

So they're off to get their backsides handed to them on a plate in Grand Am
with an underpowered and under-developed car now, after the roaring success of the GT2 project.

Lotus really, really should take a look at what Porsche does: make the product good enough to win and don't spread your limited resources too thinly. Then the customers will come - and for more than one season.
