The 993 GT2 is probably one of the most memorable cars i have ever driven.

Going to be a minority of one here but I much prefer the cleaner lines of a standard narrow body 993, for me the more you bolt on the less it appeals.

I've got my coat.
At least two... I don't like the Halfords look of the wings either.
Agreed - I love the look of the normal 993...only '911' I find aesthetically appealing. However to me the 993 GT2 is an eyesore.

Its not about speed, its about the tingling in your trousers this thing would give you each time you took it out. I'm guessing there isn't much change to be had from £300K for this but I can only imagine what it'll be worth in 10 -15 years time. Amazing machine

Didn't think it would be that high TBH, thats serious money! Do they command that sort of cash nowadays? I remember drooling over the Hermanz and Schmidt (sic) site a few years ago and they seemed to be £160k as a roughish number including a few Roock tuned/modded ones, they didn't seem to be in especially short supply.

OK, so it's not actually a GT2... it's a boggo 993 with a body kit and what looks like a drop.

Pretty sure going rate for a 993GT2 is well over £200k.

So, this or an F40.

What's it gonna be?

Bloody difficult decision if you ask me....

A good low mileage F40 is £450+ so a considerable chunk more than one of these.

300 grand, really ?

Surely if you weren't that bothered about provenance you could convert a standard 993 into something as good or better for a lot less money if you want the same experience ? almost getting too valuable to use.

Aren't F40s about 450K? I have no idea what this is worth, but consensus seemed to be £200-300k, which would leave enough for one of these and an SLS as an everyday car.

I think Harris to upload his past cars if he has a load of photos like the one in this thread!

So you take a good turbo for 60K spend 40K on mods turning into a GT2 and yep you'd have a similar car for a helll of a lot less but it is about provinance. A 2.8 RSR is hitting the £1million mark. In 15 -20 years this will be commanding similar money and the bitsa Tubo will be worth not a lot.

To be fair it was more a "what would you chose" type question rather than a serious consideration versus values.

Even if they were comparable in cost, it's a no brainer.

F40 every time.

First I'd fill a swimming pool with money and do a Scrooge McDuck, then I'd make the decision...but as it stands, I'm judging purely on 'want' factor.
