I've always loved those, but never found a bottle of brave pills big enough. But, at £850, do you need brave pills? If it dies just use it as an art exhibit.

Sat in one at the motor show when they came out. Looked like it had come from another planet at the time. Brilliant!

If I was of sufficient means, I'd love to have odd engines like this on display stands, A nice V12, Honda V4, this flat 6, cutaways maybe

I may just be the styling but when I look at these I get a sense that it is just trying to work out the most expensive way to break this week.

Were very cool when new though, and different enough to be a cracking shed.

Great shed ... not my cup of tea but a far more interesting read than anything sensible ... and if you can get a couple of years out of it at that price and flog whatever's left (which could well be the whole ting) then it's a bargain.

Knew someone with one of these when they were new and it seemed like a brilliant idea badly executed. I still like the looks though. Even more so as we live in an age when most of what's on the road is so bbland.

The rocker cover is an easy fix, all you need is a tube of gasket sealant and a couple of hours. It looks like sub £500 worth though IMO. Thats mega miles for a boxer though I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Dangerously different so many will not like it. Yeah it's unconventional, but that's what makes it great.

Stick to your silver cars, conformo-dullards.

I LOVE it!

You do know it's silver, yes?

Check out PPC to see how they are getting on with theirs.

Pleasing that the previous owners have racked up 190,000 miles in it.

I was gutted when I had to sell mine when we moved over here.

That being said, the new owner still has it, another SVX (incredibly, it is the next sequence in the VIN number!), a Vortex (XT here) and an C140 Mercedes coupe.

Actually, I think he is trying to live my life!

The SVX's are brilliant cars but just a tad underpowered. That being said, they are extraordinarily comfortable to drive in, the window in a window is great and they look like they just arrived from outer space.

We had ten of them meet up in Oz and drive down to the Southern Highlands and so many people were stopping to look.

I also had my photographed for a magazine article and when it was parked up, people were coming up and asking when Subaru were releasing them...this was a 1992 car in 2003!

Pleasing? I think it's amazing. Any mileage beyond it's current reading is a bonus.

No idea what to make of it really. Remember seeing one in a showroom in Norwich mid 90's and wondering WTF it was. Shed money though, I was expecting a proton satira GTI.
