Not cars, but the stuff we buy associated with our cars.

From batteries to body pullers, booster seats to bike racks, and polish to pressure washers - is the product worth recommending or worth steering clear of?

I'll kick off with Simoniz Bug Shifter. Safe to say, it didn't do what it said on the bottle.

Any products impressed or depressed you?

I was thinking of starting a thread to this effect the other day.
Ultimate add ons phone holder

Perfect for holding the phone a bit closer than a screen mount would, which is really handy when you use the phone as a sat nav like I do.
No suction marks on the windscreen, and it stays in place very well. Doesn't vibrate in the slightest over poor road surfaces too.

Has anyone tried that new AmorAll Shield for alloys wheels? Description sounds great, but hard for me to believe.

I think it's best left as a discussion so that people can agree/disagree/ask questions/post links to special offers etc.

A collegue, Bolognese on actually, has advised me that this leather dye has restored his M3's 100k+ mile seats to new. I am testing it on my car shortly...

How much did it cost?

I have a cheap market bought windscreen holder very hard to make it stay on its even fallen off a couple of times! Not good with a £200 smartphone attached!

Wet tea towel draped over the rinsed, offending areas will, on the other hand. Proven with Eurotrips worth of insect genocide on motorcycle fairings. Leave on for a cup of tea, and a fag.
