Have the choice of keeping either of the above for free from dad.

Toyota drives very well, has 180k on the clock regular oil changes at 6k by him, brakes etc, M reg. My dad painted the rear end that has laquer peeling off, not very well... Interior tidy.

Primera, 110k, think 2l, sportier, harsher ride, but more practical, doesnt drive as nice as the toyota.

Both havent gor FSH.

Not sure which to keep. However i did say to him whichever i dont have he should store in case one of the 3x other old cars in the family die.

I guess toyota cheaper to run?

Doubt there will be much in it in running costs.

Pick whichever one you prefer basically (sounds like the Celica). I doubt either would be unreliable.

Have owned both (Celica in 2.0 guise) and my pick would be the Primera.

Handles much better. Is more comfortable. Better on fuel. More practical. Cheaper on insurance.

Just a few.

Edit - I have the SR20DE Primera, which I'm comparing to the 3SGE Celica I had. Very similar engines in regards to power output. You probably have the 7AFE in the Celica, in which case, it is probably better MPG, but slower.

Thanks. I think the primera is the 1.8 actually & a sport which is why its very harsh. Yes re the 7afe.
